Nice to meet you!

I’m Chonticha, a cat-fanatic and world-travelling illustrator.

Black beach and seagulls in Iceland

I come from a mix of Belgian and Thai roots, and was raised in a a few dfiferent places. I started in lively Hong Kong, spent some more years in Thailand, and finished shaping my identity in the beautiful Alps, nestled between France and Switzerland.

Growing up in different places naturally made me love traveling, so I've been exploring the world since 2014.

Enjoying the Sweetness of Life Through Art

My art depict scenes from everyday life, using flowers, vibrant fashion, savage cats, and vibrant colours as vehicles for spreading joy, happiness, and love.

I still remember when I was a kid, I used to wear my mom's red dress and put a bright pink satin rose in my hair. I'd strut around in big high heels, playing with dogs in our garden. I felt so fancy and free, like a 7-year-old superstar.

Even now, I want to preserve that childish ability to enjoy life and be marvelled by the world. While of course being dressed in the pretties, jolliest and most extravagant dresses as possible.

I believe that by remembering that kid inside us, we will be able to spread love and positive feelings all around us.

Art Style & Techniques

I use gouache as my main medium, as it offers a truly versatile blend of fluidity, richness, and vivid luminosity.

My art style merges figurative portrayals, lively patterns, and vibrant hues with a touch of naivety and botanical elegance.

The roots of my inspiration delve into Naive Art and Fauvism, these influences breathing vitality into my work. Just like in these art movements, colours and patterns play a dominant role in conveying strong and positive emotions.

You will find in this world of Pawshire that happiness from the the ordinary can still feel magical.

I hope my art can be like a soft whisper reminding us everyday that we are all unique individuals who are loved and can spread even more love.
